Finding better targets for the treatment of atherothrombosis

By: Linda Haglund

Supervisor: Dr Magnus Grenegård

In the current search to find new, better, targets for the future management of thrombosis, emphasis should be put on two platelet thrombin receptors: protease activated receptor (PAR)1 and PAR4. It is important to clarify differences between these receptors in order to enhance their potential future as therapeutic targets.
