Some staining of CD45 was seen but it was a weak signal and mostly followed the blood vessels (1). During inflammation there is usually more infiltration out in the tissue. This could be seen in the cholit tissue (2).

No staining of TNF-alpha could be seen in either the uninfected mice or the infected mice (3). However, the cholit tissue showed staining (4) which means that the antibodies are working and that no TNF-alpha is present in the rotavirus infected tissue. For both the infant mice and adult mice it didn’t seem to be any major differences when comparing different time points after infection and different sections of the small intestine.
