Olfactory detection threshold values in spider monkeys for “green” odors range from 4.8 x 1011 to 2.2 1013 molecules/ cm3 . Olfactory threshold values in humans for “green” odors range from 2.4 x 109 to 6.6 x 1013 molecules/ cm3. The mice were more sensitive with all the “green” odors except cis-3-hexen-1-ol when compared to human subjects and spider monkeys.
