Conclusion

Our data does not reveal any difference in the callular localization of OR-83b between  two time points of the circadian rhythm; noon and midnight. Nor does it indicate any diference in the levels of OR-83b between noon and midnight. One plausible explanation is that the circadian rhythm does not control the expression or cellular localization of the auxiliary olfactory receptor; OR-83b in the ORNs of the adult Drosophila melanogaster.
