Habitat selection and oviposition of the endangered butterfly Scolitantides orion in Sweden
This web page is about my master thesis work on the endangered butterfly Scolitantides orion. This species has declined severely in Sweden during the last three decades, and the population size is currently estimated to 1000 individuals. To conserve this species, detailed knowledge about its habitat requirements is needed. The aim of my thesis work was therefore to examine the habitat requirements of adult and ovipositing S. orion butterflies.
Stiftelsen Oscar och Lili Lamms Minne and Wala och Folke Danielssons Stiftelse supported this work financially.
