Methods
Data from two long-term trials was analysed in this study:
The grazing versus mowing trial, with the aim to compare the effects of grazing and mowing. This trial ran in multiple types of grasslands in southern and central Sweden for a minimum of twelve years;
The mowing trial, with the aim to compare the effects of different mowing techniques. This trial ran in one grassland in south-eastern Sweden for twelve years.
