Breed-comparison of behavioural responses of dogs in test situations
It does not go without notice that dog breeds show great morphological differences. They differ in size, in body shape and in fur colour, just to mention a few examples. However, there is also a great behavioural variation even though this is not always visible at the first glance. To investigate this variation might be of great importance with respect to many different areas, such as genetic analyses, the understanding of the evolution of behavioural traits and the dogs' welfare.
In my thesis project I looked at differences between dog breeds with regard to their behavioural responses in a behaviour and personality test for dogs in Sweden.
