Post- treatment baseline
The seals that interacted with the kelp and the fish during a session were observed live for one hour directly after the session, called post- treatment baseline, using the same ethogram as in the pre- treatment baseline. For the seals to have been considered having interacted during the session, one or more of the behaviours in the ethogram had to have been performed by the seal during the session. The seals were also observed one day a week without any treatment sessions if they had interacted during the sessions that week. They were observed for one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon, the so called inter- treatment baseline.
