The animals discriminated between the odours of ripe and unripe, and also between the majority of their variations tested, for C.macrocarpa intact and L.cymosa open.

However, they failed to discriminate between the odours of ripe and unripe for L.cymosa intact.

The inter-individual variability was not significant (C.macrocarpa intact (p=0.77); L.cymosa open (p=0.37); L.cymosa intact (p=0.91)), and the difference in the mean performance between the five individuals was not significant either (p=0.09).
