The video analysis revealed that the flatcoated retriever showed more retrieving behaviours than the golden retriever during the retrieving of a regular dummy and also showed more passive behaviours than all the other breeds during the passivity test.

In the test score analysis, the flatcoated retriever had higher commitment and endurance during search and problem-solving than the golden and toller and the labrador also scored higher than the golden. The labrador retriever had a more intense game reaction than the curly coated, golden and nova scotia duck tolling retriever.
