Pingers can deter Harbour porpoises without acting as a "dinner-bell" for Grey seals
Alice Pettersson
Hello and welcome to my page!
My name is Alice and I've a background in biology here at LiU. On this page you can read more about my master thesis for the Applied Ethology and Animal Biology program.
I investigated if acoustic deterrent devices, used to save odontocetes from entanglement in fishing nets, (1) attracts grey seals as a dinner-bell or not and (2) deter harbour porpoises. I also looked at (3) the grey seals fish preference.
