Conclusion
The SR-proteins PpSR40 and PpSR36 show tissue-specific differential expression.
PpSR40 overexpression lines are not inherently toxic, no extreme phenotypes were seen. The different lines vary in degree of overexpression and also did not significantly alter splicing patterns.
