My master project was involved with pursuing mutants identified in a previous genetic screening approach, aimed at identifying mutations in the neurodevelopment regulatory genes. I have mapped a subset of mutants to the gene and describing the genetics and molecular analysis of these novel genes which control the neuronal proliferation, differentiation and lineage progression in a specific D. melanogaster CNS, the neuroblast 5-6T (NB 5-6T).
