Main findings

Reindeer displayed more stress related behaviors during loading compared to unloading.

It took significantly less time to unload the animals than to load them.

Time in corral between pre-loading hadnling and loading seems to decrease time to load reindeer and also some stress related behaviors.

Cleats spaced to far apart or to close seem to be the major reason for slipping and falling in reindeer during loading and unloading.

Handlers seem to have different strategies to make the reindeer move during handling.

It took significantly less time to load live-animals compared with slaughter animals.

Slaughter animals displayed more aggressive behaviors compared with live-animals.
