My name is Ulrica Ahlrot and in the following pages you will find information about my master thesis in Applied Ethology and Animal Biology.

It is a common view that felids need large space, multiple den sites and resting places, environmental complexity and variability, and more control over their situation. I would like to challenge this view and ask if this is founded in scientific research or old habits. Do all felid species have the same needs and is there an order of priority in availability of resources?
