Conclusions
- The Aquamark100 pinger is audible to grey seals and will, thus, has a great potential of producing a "dinner-bell" effect on seals.
- In theory, the Banana pinger and Aquatec 2446 pingers should not produce a significant "dinner-bell" effect.
- Further investigation into the behavioral ecology of grey seals as well as obtaining an updated audiogram is crucial to contribute in solving the seal-fisheries conflict.
