The dogs responded towards the stimuli as expected, indicating that ear positions can further be used when assessing positive emotions in dogs.
The meatball followed by the familiar person elicited the greatest left ear responses, suggesting that these were perceived as more positive and intense since processed in the right hemisphere (dominant for intense emotions), than food pellet and the less familiar person.
