Results from the F10-AIL
The results from the F-10 generation of the Advanced Intercross Line indicated that:
- One of the candidate genes was expressed at much higher levels comapred with the three other candidate genes.
- There was no correlation between relative gene expression and the colour score for the three candidate genes which were expressed at very low levels.
- However one trans acting e-QTL was discovered for one candidate gene. This can be seen in the bottom right panel, heterozygotes were found to have a higher relative expression compared to both RJF and WL homozygotes.
- The most highly expressed of the candidate genes was also found to have a very strong positive correlation with the colour score in the F10-AIL.
