Search subtest

In the Search subtest the dog and puppy raiser were placed approximately 5 meters from a wooden pallet. The test assistant gave the puppy raiser a tennis ball and then sat down next to the wooden pallet. The puppy raiser was told to roll the ball to the test assistant while at the same time holding on to the dog. When the test assistant had hid the ball under the wooden pallet, the puppy raiser was told to let go of the collar. The first time the ball was placed so that the dog easily can grab it. The second time the ball was placed further in under the wooden pallet so that the dog had to search for the ball. In some cases the procedure was repeated more than two times, however, it is the second time that will be analysed in this study. The second time were chosen because it was when most of the dogs work independently.
