Visual startle

In the Visual startle the dog was walked in a leash towards an overall that was placed on the ground in the woods. When the dog was approximately 2 m away from the stimulus the overall was quickly pulled up. The puppy raiser was told to let go of the leash and stand still. The dog was not encouraged in any way. If the dog had not approached the stimulus by itself, the puppy raiser and test assistant will went halfway towards the stimulus. If the dog still had not interacted with the stimulus, the puppy raiser and test assistant sat down on each side of the stimulus and called for the dog. When the dog had interacted with the stimulus the puppy raiser picked up the leash and was told to pass by the stimulus several times until the dog did not consider the stimulus any more.
