Main results

The main results of my study are:

  • Horses in the treatment group showed significantly more contact-seeking behaviour and fewer stress-related behaviours after the treatment period compared to before.

  • There was no difference between groups in latency to approach the ambiguous bucket during the cognitive bias test, either before or after the treatment period.

  • There was no difference in hair cortisol concentrations before and after the treatment period, for either group.

  • Treatment horses tended to score higher on the relationship questionnaire after the treatment period.

For more detailed results, statistics and graphs see the corresponding subheadings in the menu.
